    Default New Car Tomorrow - What Do I Need?

    Guys,

    Picking up the new cars tomorrow for me and my mrs.

    My heads totally screwed at the moment and cant think straight..

    Thinks i should be taking along with our current cars are.
    * V5
    * Current MOT
    * Service Book/Manual
    * Spare Keys
    * Bankers Drafts

    Anyone think of anything else i need to take along?

    Don't think you need to have your license to pick up a car, but for the sake of it you may as well take it along? Good bit of ID for any further paperwork you may need to do.

    One thing I thought of was locking nut key (if you have locking nuts fitted). They're probably in the car somewhere - who keeps them anywhere else?! - but just a thought.

    You are supposed to have your licence now to pick up a car, new or 2nd hand, it is something to do with the anti terrorism laws I was told ??

    Check under your old car seats for coins (nearly always a few quid to be found ) My advice is to check your new car for anything you're not happy with, if you do find anything, do not let the dealer fob you off with "You can bring it back to get that sorted later" tell them you will re-arrange collection when they have fixed any problems.
