Default For Owners of a Pioneer DEH-70BT

For you guys that have one of these do you know why my display keeps flicking from this

    To this

Sorry for the quality, it's off my mobile.

I hope you can see that it seems to flash so the whole screen is blue, as per second picture (more obvious on the right of the display). It's natural state should be the first picture.

It does not matter what background or movie I have on or even have the entertainment turned off altogether it still does it

    Any ideas

    Cheers

This used to happen on my DEH P7900... if you turn it off (with the ignition on) and press and hold preset button 3 or 4 (can't remember which and it may be different for the 70BT) it should stop it doing this. You should hear a beep when it has done it.

Worked it out, partially thanks to AJA.

With the stereo turned off but with engine on the date and time is shown on the screen.

Push and hold the multi control button to pop up the menu. Scroll round the menu and there is an option called 'REVERSE'. Turn this feature off and it solved the problem.

Also Graeme, I bought a lead to control the screen and steering controls, but when I got it I found out it doesn;t work if your car has a CD30 stereo in it. So I have put it for sale on here in the parts section and just use the remote control that is supplied with it.

    Cheers

You need the CA-R-PI.152 adaptor for the CD30 equipped cars.

No, I've been told by Pioneer to go to a dealer and they'll order it. There is a Dutch site that sells them very cheaply (55 Euros), but you'd have to see if they'll post to the UK.

    http://www.carmedia.nl/catalog/produ...roducts_id=355

This is the only place selling it online that I know of.

Emailed them today and although their P&P is a bit steep at 15 euros, that means the adaptor is £48 delivered. I'm betting that is a lot cheaper than you'll get it for over here.
