Number Plates

Hiya does anyone know if i can put black registration plates on with chrome writing on my veccy ive seen a few cars with these plates on but dont knw if illegal or not and what would happen if i got stopped or shall i just stuff the law and put some on

With the massive investment in Automatic number plate readers it will be enforced more rigourously.

knowing from experience what the local police are like, they will rightly so pull you in a flash and god help you if a traffic officer catches you. Think they look naff anyway so really not worth it! Only my opinion take it or leave it but i'd rather spend the 30 quid you'd pay on the fine on beer!
