As per Dillys thread the guys at Meguires mentioned that a couple of clubs had cancelled this year so the massive turnout from all regions of Vectra-C meant another big up for the club.
The usual early morning rendevous found us off junction 19 of the M6 before we were joined by the Boss to set off for Daventry.
A gentle cruise down to the M1 found us arriving bright and early at Meguires UK.
Shan had come prepared after realising that several members have had the "one shot" headlamp washers installed by Andyl.
Once in the classroom the group were keen to have their photo taken as a treasured memento of the day.
After a very very good introduction to the processes involved it was time to go to the detailing bay.
But first was a quick demo of claying on Dougies car.
This had to be done right so that the coffee cups didn't get dirty.
After a quick survey of the car park by the Megs. guys for the most suitable car Shan's narrowly beat a 1966 Viva which was abandoned in the next field around 1972 as the car with the most paint defects.
Hand polishing was tried first.
The results were good considering that the lighting showed up every imperfection.
Next up was the Megs Polisher.
Much better results after both of the guys had a go.
Great to see everyone again although I did lose the others on the way back.
Couldn't resist coming off the motorway to try some bendy bits in the new motor.
