    Talking Boost Gauge Fitted

After months of owning it and never fitting it yesterday I was down at Duncan's to get it fitted. The weather couldn't have been any worse, but D got it done. Also got the Irmscher pedals fitted while I was down there. Big thanks to Duncan for taking the time out his day to do this and I can't thank him enough for it, and tell Mrs. D thank you for the Bacon roll, was very yummy LOL.

Pics are crap yet again, sorry can't help it phone camera is crap

The gauge has already shown it's worth as on the way back home I lost nearly all boost, instead of 1.1Bar I was getting 0.3. Standard is 0.6 so you can imagine how slow it was, I was getting a fart of boost, the car was pathetic. Finally after stopping at services and restarting it all returned to normal, I was confused as he11 at this point. So after an SOS to Duncan when I got home the problem was the turbo had went into safe mode obviously caused by a leak in the boost pipes somewhere which had sent readings a bit off. All fine now just secured all of the connections to try and stop any leaks.

Again big thank you to Duncan for this and I definitely owe you a few beers mate

EDIT: Also got a ride in stage 3 Now I want it even more. The car looks better in the flesh and is one of the nicest vec/sigs I've seen without a doubt.

The car is a credit to you, Mark. No change there then

I may now be an Extreme Poster, but clearly not as Extreme as you, with you itching to join the '250' club. Good on yer, mate.

Isn't it amazing what you can get out of a so-called family/reps car? Love it.

I enjoy it when it doesn't go into safe mode LOL Done it again today and another SOS to D. still just needs some adjustment on the piping and it should sort it out.

Although I may have been partly responsible today as I was on a roundabout getting some lift off oversteer in the wet and then the EGM light flashed on then off. Maybe the car was telling me to bu88er and stop hurting it LOL

I've now got two bruised left ribs! from being sat on the ground by the front door and leaning in on the door sill when I was drilling the pedals. Bl**dy hurts now!

Well next time I'm up in the NE, or even in Fife, we could always sort something out if you still hadn't got it done by then.

Yeah, bit of a bummer this. It's obviously related to the fitting of the gauge and has to be something like a slightly leaking connection. As per PM, you can soon confirm if it is with that 'test'.
