    Default Passenger footwell flooded???

Hi guys, not been on here for a while, but I'm having a problem with the Vectra.

For the past few days, the passenger footwell has been like a lake. It's been raining a fair bit, but the water seems to be getting in somewhere.
I don't think it's the door because it shuts as normal, and I can't see any splits.

I'm sure I noticed a while ago that someone else had this problem?
I'm just wondering is it a common problem and what is usually the cause??

Also, I don't know if this is related, but the FAN on the dask board only works when you turn it to 4. 1, 2, and 3 are off, and 4 comes on fast as it should. I can hear it click somewhere near the glove box when I turn it to 4 and it comes on, then it clicks off when I put it to any other number.

    Thanks
    Dan

Looks like water ingress caused by blockage of the drain underneath the pollen filter. Lift bonnet, lift up/open flap on your right hand side under the windscreen (where the rubber has 2 cuts) and look in front of pollen filter. There is a drain for the water to run off, which may be blocked with leaves and/or $hite. Easy to clear by pushing your hand down through the rubber hose inside. Water ingress could also have compromised your heating/ventilation controls by shorting out the relay. It pays to check the drain regularly, and also to check that the grommet underneath hasn't been rotted, thereby increasing water ingress.

Had the water in the foot well problem in Febuary. Carpets were damp for weeks. Problem was the pollen drain hole. Ended up taking all the door frame trim off and lifting the carpet to air and dry it.
