    Default Bl**dy Headlights.....

After forking out for some Philips H7 Bulbs about 4 months ago (they were reccomended to me), on went pop again today after 4 MONTHS!!!

Thought to myself, These headlights are shyte with normal bulbs in, so trundled down to halfrauds to see what was in stock.....
got 2 80W H7 bulbs for £13 so they should be brighter than the ones fitted.

4 Months from a headlight bulb..... ffs...

Anyone else got higher powered headlight bulbs to overcome the well known shortfalls with the Veccy / Siggy headlight design??

Is that about raising the beam up slightly?
Done that already but they were still shocking mate. Hope that these 80W bad boys are a bit brighter than the last lot....

Around town I dont really notice them all that much - but the run accross the peaks a few weeks ago made me notice how frighteningly bad they are.
We go to Devon a fair old bit and the country lanes are not lit at all - so the brighter bulbs were a must I feel.
They are only 25W more than the last, but that should make a decent difference...

I was wary of the power of these bulbs - Heard stories of 100W going into them but thats crazy.

Settled on 80W as they are only marginally more powerful than those fitted - but should give a brighter light out. I have foud myself using full beam more and more in the last few months on normal, but poorly lit roads. The lights on the Mrs's Yaris put the Siggy to shame.....
