    Lightbulb Boomerang Keys!

Changed my insurance to a company called Greenlight this time, they were about £100 cheaper than Adrian Flux. Checked all the main things when I took out the policy - excess, courtesy car. legal cover, etc, etc, but I got the pack through the post yesterday with an unexpected bonus!

They've included Boomerang Tag key cover for free.

Basically, it's a keyring that offers a £10 reward for anyone that hands your keys in if you lose them. No big deal. The big deal is that they effectively insure every key on the keyring, including house keys, and will pay up to £1500 a year to replace keys, locks, immobilisers, etc....and importantly includes key coding and cutting for new car keys.

No effect on the main insurance policy, no loss of No Claims if I call them. I'm impressed

About £15 a year if anyone's interested. Especially considering new keys are around £60 from the dealer - be a shame if you 'lost' your old keys...

Sounds like a good deal. May check them out at renewal time.

And.... If I want to take the car around a track (eg round Silverstone at Trax), that's included in the policy too

I've been with greenlight for 3 years now, they're excellent, I've had no problems phoning up and changing details etc. Plus they have a UK call centre!

I used to use Greenlight years ago. The brokers were set up by a member of the now dead Vauxhall Performance Car Club (R.I.P). Cant remember his name but he was a modded car enthusiast so really understood that a K&N really wasnt adding to the power of the car!! They arent competitive with standard cars though.
