I have always considered myself to be an enthusiast of modified cars, no matter what it is, if it isn't to my taste, I can still respect the time, money and effort that has gone into it.
I have always felt though that I have always had respect for others.
I have in the past, and will again in the future, own cars that have combinations of the following, ICE installs, air filters/box mods, and stainless/performance exhausts.
I have always been aware of how loud, annoying and disturbing these can be to others, particularly in built up areas, even more so in my own street.
Lately, a certain house up the street has drawn attention to itself with modified motors.
If you want to run air filters/modded boxes and exhausts then fine, but keep the revs down in residential areas, particularly in your own street and particularly late at night or in the early hours.
Some muppet up the road continually boots his motor up the street, so do his m8's that visit him, and that winds me up, our street just aint the place for it, simple as.
I live opposite a green, and the houses opposite me are larger four bed ones the council has always allocated to large families with a lot of kids, we have had a number of families with 5-6 children in them living in these house for as long as I can remember.
This green is always busy with children playing on it, with in sensible hours obviously.
I was up unusually early this morning and starting a couple of odd jobs in my work den.
It was particularly cold and frosty this morning, and clearly so you can see the frost on the road.
The next thing I hear is the roar of this car as it was booted past my house, this was between 8-8.30, followed by a large bang/crash.
I stepped into my kitchen to look out the window, the driver was still on the phone, he would not have had time to pick it up and answer/dial it, I was there in a second, he must have already been on the phone, no hands free, when he booted it !!!
This is gona cost the the ****ing ******** a few quid !!!
Good !!!
I hope he learns the lesson, somehow I doubt it though.
Would have loved to have gone out side and told him just what a ***** I thought he was, but it just ain't worth it, just stood there watching him with a smug grin on my face.
My green.
You so clearly see how frosty it is, and slippery it will be.
The car in question.
Doesn't show it very well, but the wheel is at a right nasty angle.
He got the wheel and the bumper, shame he didn't get over the kerb, cos then he would have had the lamppost as well, I thought he had by the sound of the impact.
The bumper.
The wheel.
I sneaked out and took some pics on my phone after he walked back up to his house to get his m8, I hope he never realises I've made him famous, lol.
