    I have a scuff on my front left alloy - really irritating btw, can this be DIY job or is it got to be taken to a alloy shop.

    Have you got a picture of the wheel. Best to take a look.
    If it's only a light mark you can get a kit to do a diy.

    jaykay313 did a realy good D I Y repair to one of his wheel's, and he did a write up and pic's along with it, so if you feel confident enough have a go yourself

    The tyre fitter actually caused about a 6 inch flat on my SRI wheel when they changed tyre. I cba going back but instead set about painting it myself. I used star siver paint pot from halfords, brush painted with a brush being firstly dipped in cellulose thinners and then finished off with 2 coats of clear laquer, again brush applied. The results were almost invisable difference from original finnish. I was lucky there was no deep scratches into the alloy.
