    Default Parking too close!

Continuing from the earlier thread on supermarket car parks, I remember recently when shopping at Makro in Edinburgh I parked well away from the door bangers and two door cars etc and when I cam out I noticed a Transit Van (no not white a blue one for a change) and he was parked right up against my motor by about a foot or so. Ferk me I thought what a ****, at least he did'nt have a passenger as they would surely have never gotton out of there.

Wrong - up they stroll with their packs of toilet rolls, and as I had been mouthing of in front of the wife and daughter, I thought I'd better do the macho thing and attack him........ well verbaly any how. I said bit close there are you not! and I got the usual and totally expected reply, ferk off i'm between the lines

She, then proceeded to squeeze her over sized butt into the remaining gap and climbed into the van, with him shaking his head at me, mouthing some thing like "I don't have a father". By the way there must have been 10 spaces each side of me. Why do they do it. Can some professor not study the 2 brain cells of these baw bags and see what turns them into anti social low life cretons. There i feel better now (again)

There has to be something in this, at a guess I'd say it's a fear factor, a fear of being alone, or maybe something comforting in grouping of things, almost like a strength in numbers thing, it'll be totally oblivious to the person in question, but seems to happen whether you park near to the place or over in the furthest corner, someone will park next to you.

Or look at it this way, take something like Stargate for example, the 1st man puts a hand in sheepishly, then he steps through, then once it's established it's safe the rest walk through as if it's any old door.

Parked my works Zafira a Sainsburys car today. Parked near to no-one, spaces on either side.

Did my shopping and walked out to see a very nice 55 plate 3 series BMW parked virtually 18 inches away from my drivers door. I managed to squeeze in the car without hitting his.

What a prat...I wouldn't have parked that close even in the works car......

Old saying, saftey in numbers, springs to mind

When i go B&Q i part in the car park away from it rather than driving round trying to squeeze in somewhere.. If i have to park close then i take a reg no from cars either side 'just in case'

Noticed my missus does this, thought id ask why. Do you know why?

"It makes it easier to park, you just line yourself with the other car rather than having to judge the lines" OMG!

Mental note, she NEVER drives the Veccy.

    Detritus.

This is why unless I can get a quiet corner to myself, I use two spaces.

When tackled on this by some store 'manager' oik, I pointed out, when him and his company take some responsibility for his cretinous customers using my car as target practice, I'd take a little more care parking my car, then carried on my way while he attempted to explain how antisocial I was being.

For some reason, one look quietened him down pretty quickly.

The only time I took 2 spaces when we went away on holiday, had a brand new mg zs 180, the spaces were just wide enough for the car so I took up 2, left it for 30 mins, went back and someone had taken the time to write me a nice note telling me what a selfish low life pig I was...nice eh!
