Default Hands free Kit not working via Radio speakers?

I have a Nokia Ck7W hands free kit already fitted in my Vectra and last week the engineer had no option to use the standalone speak as he could not get it working on the radio speakers. Anyone know if there is a option I neeed to activate on the LCD display. He check the fuses and they all seems to work but no joy on the radio speaker.

    any ideas guys and girls.

My advice would be to change engineer mate, i used to fit these for a living, piece of cake, all he would need is either an iso mute loom or a quadlock mute loom, both of which plug straight in to the CK-7W box.

I have a CK7W in mine and it works fine through the speakers, one hell of a harness and quite fiddly to get in but the kit plugs straight into it.

    Default Hands free.

Hi did seem to be very professional. He did explain and showed me that mute (when shortening) should work but it didn't. And he did spend a lot of time trying it to work and then said it must be a fault with the radio.

Only wish it did work as I know it would be much better.

    thanks for the replies

Have you got the factory fit radio or an aftermarket one?
