Yep, there's two metal retaining clips. Release these and the sensor will come off.. may take a bit of a pull due to suction, but the clips are what hold it in place.

Being a bit of a numpty I have the rain sensor as the wipers start when it rains if I push the stalk up one notch but I do not have auto lights, is this what this is for?? If so where and how and I may well have it off you.

I believe the auto light sensor is part of the rain sensor, I'm just in the middle of retro fitting these to mine (never had any to start with), so will know more on what needs to be done to activate the auto lights soon.

I believe so, you wont have the auto lights switch though.

If you don't have rain sensors already (thought you meant replace an existing one) you'll need the roof loom and a new windscreen.

It's not known if these can be retro fitted to a car yet (unless anyone else has done it), but will let people know how I get on..unless Glenboy beats me to it.
