bike rack

Ive recently been given a bike rack and just wondering you guys thoughts on the legality of them over the boot on a veccy hatch you can still clearly see the number plate but whats the law on the lights? or would i be better seeing if i can hook rack over rear window? (can that be done)

Sounds like you need a light strip like a caravan/trailer would have to mount on the back of the rack.

Rear lights and no' plate must be visable at all times. If not then you must use a separate board.

It's a pet hate of mine and anyone not doing it, should have their car confiscated and crushed.

I have a boot mounted bike rack but it is of the 'high lift' type. this puts the bikes above both lights and no plate. Something like this one here...http://www.cyclestore.co.uk/productD...productID=4364

That looks good. Im gonna see what i can do with mine if it can go any higher altho it didnt look 2 ba its also a pet hate of mine to see lights and no plate covered.
