Sad Day on Vectra-c Been ripped off by a fellow member

Never thought I would have to post this hoped the guy would had had ½ inch of common decency in his body but at the end of the day hes just the lowest of low, a plain simple con man.

Did a deal to swap it for a JVC AVX-2 I was looking to sell, seemed a fair deal both ways, collected camcorder and yea looks good, all new in its box.
When I got home and tried to put the software on the computers in had no mention of JVC on it, alarm balls started to ring, when it was set up the quality of the images was to say the least very poor, my 6 year old mobile phone takes better clips.
Looking at the box all the JVC branding has been cut out of black vinyl (proper decals).
This is not a JVC but a £30.00 cheap DV camcorder
Spoke to Jazzy and basically tough luck.
He had set out from the start to rip of a member on this site, just happened to be me.

thats bad **** mate would like to see jazzys response b4 i comment to much 2 sides and all that,but if what you are sayin is true i think i would be payin a visit to the small claims court as all the evidence is on here

Have you reported this to admin?

I assume you have his full address etc? If so I would speak to CAB/solicitor about this.

Well i don't know the facts but this will not be tollerated in the least on this site thanks for bringing it up and i do hope you get it sorted m8......i'm sure there are channels you can follow ie:false advertising for instance.

hope things work out for you m8 i really do, can't stand people that rip people off ,one to look out for in the future....

Admin are aware of this...and have tried to sort it, but it was still an ongoing thing...

As ever, we provide a buying and selling section, but we can only 'police' it so much..Much of the buying and selling relies on the honesty of our members and as such we have had very few problems over the years...

Please please remember folks that you have to make sure you're happy with items before buying as our hands are quite tied if either party are unhappy.. we always try to sort the matter out but we can never garuantee that we can get a resolution..

When VV put up the "copied" picture alarm bells were ringing but then at the time (I guess like others did) I checked how long he'd been a member for and gave him the benefit of the doubt.

sorry too hear this mate as you say the lowest of the low hes probably bought it in one of those electrical goods shops that they have in the canary islands,we bought ouer current digi camera from one 2 years ago and it is all boxed and stamped jvc but its not genuine as jvc donmt or at leasst didnt make digi cameras at the time,although to be fair it does take pretty good pics hope you get some satisfaction mate
