it's a good price to be honest...as for advice on them.. just get a warranty.. if it's a good car it'll be a waste of money, but if it's a bad one you'll have complete peace of mind when the VX warranty runs out....

have you had a look for glass's PX price on the netq website?..Hammer them hard.. it's a buyers market at this time of the year.. it they want to sell cars they'll have to do it your way..

    Changing already m8 ? lol
All I guess I can say is, as above, make sure you give any motor with a CDTI engine in it a good run, and make sure you get a good warranty with it.
Dont get me wrong, not wanting to make this a CDTI bashing thread, far from it, I know there are a lot of people who have had many miles of trouble free motoring, but there seems to be an ever increasing number whos dealers see the cars as often as the owners do.
A great engine choice if you get a good one, think Id be really tempted to keep what I got if I was you though.

    bad news..

    Glass's trade in figures..

    Part-exchange Price:
    Excellent condition: £4150
    Average condition: £3740
    Below average condition: £3340

so, given that they won't 'up' it for all the irmscher ( even thou they are quick enough to charge you extra for it) you'll have to push hard to get it up to 5300..

Bargain m8, go for it but as Mark says, £5300 for yours is pushing it a bit.
£4500 might be nearer the price on a good day, any more and you are doing well

I've been there a few times to source a car, haven't managed it yet, it's normally tat that the main dealers won't touch, and their px pricing is just poor to say the least, you could go have a look as it's near you, but fine tooth comb it if you decide to buy, warranty won't be an issue, VX got yer back until 2010.

It's worth having a look on the 'wewillbuyyourcar' website (or something like that). It's owned and run by Car Giant, so may give you an idea of what they'll offer.

Just watch out for the hard sell on finance. I've got to say, I've never heard anyone say a good word about them.

as above they will give you no where near what you want for your car, been there done that........had a W reg 323 beamer with high milage got offered 3500 which was actually 2300 lower then then the parkers guide ........if your going in to look for a bargain you need to be a cash buyer ...........sold the beamer privately in the end for 5800.HTH
