Default Petrol in a Diesel Part 2

After my lovely Wife put petrol in our diesel. I got tank drained and new diesel filter fitted. However on smooth acceleration it feels as if the engine is missing it happens on 2nd and 3rd gears. It seems okay if you gun it. Any ideas Guys?

Took car to VX Dealers locally. On computer no codes no ECU problems. They updated software and put in 2 tins of diesel cleaner advised me to fill up and then run to quarter ful. If still doing it they said it may be fuel pump or injectors they said injectors were £700 each and theres 6 of them? This sound quite ridiculous to me????

did she start and run the car on the fuel?... if so it's very possible if she drove much of a distance for the petrol to damage the injectors and the high pressure fuel pump.. And thou the price is high you must remember that the VX 3ltr is really an isuzu lump and they ( isuzu ) really do sting the prices up.... think about £1800 for a high pressure pump..So yes, the injectors could well be £700..

if she never started the car, i find it very unlikely that there is any damage to any of the fuel components..

£700.00 each, that sound extortionate to me

a good many years ago i ran out of diesel in a movano van and only had a gallon of petrol with me, i put this in and got the 6 mile's i needed to go to get to the garage, filled up with diesel and after a few more realy rough coughing and spluttering mile's it all calmed down and was running ok

I would keep topping it up and adding diesel cleaner/fuel treatment for a while. it could have run some petrol into the engine if it ran for 30secs.
