Default Exhaust smell inside the cabin

    Hi all.

I am the owner of a 1.9 CDTI (150) 2008 model and i am wondering if any other owners are able to smell exhaust fumes within the inside of the car.

Every time i am at a standstill say at a junction or waiting to turn or at the lights i can smell exhaust fumes in the cabin. The smell only goes away upon driving or if i turn on the cockpit circulation only switch.

Whilst at a standstill the car is just idling normally, anyone any ideas or do i take it back to the dealer after only having it for 4 days?

    Thanks in advance.

Mine's still doing it at 700 miles but I'll give it to 1500 to see if it goes before I take it in. Still good on fuel & not using oil so I really think it can only be underseal.

Mine has the exact same problem, only difference being mine veccy is 04 plate with 92k on it!!

I've heard people say that their smell has gone away when they;ve have the manifold changed because of the swirl valve(s) sticking? But i'm not so sure that would be an issue on an 08 plate....could be wrong tho..

Not had mine done so still have the smell
