    Default Type PSI

    Quick question,

Checked the tyre pressures today in the Vectra Manual that came with the car, for the X18ZER the manual says 35psi front and 38psi rear. Suley thats too high? All my other cars have been 30 front and 32 rear.

By the way it is the standard 17" wheels.

    Is this correct?

I've asked similar question for my 18" wheels, tyre place set them to 32psi,i thought that was too high, was told on here about right,so for 17" would say 30-32psi unladen,33-36 fully laden imo.......

Rule of thumb is the psi should be around twice the rim size. Not sure why people think the manual would be wrong Running long term with the incorrect pressure will only be bad for the tyre. hth
