    Default Flat panel tv?lcd or plasma......

    I'm confused don't know which one to buy,or even screen size ,and also make and model?anyone got any pointers.

    Under 40"- LCD
    anything over - Plasma.

    Size depends entirely on your preference and in particular room size.
    Generally, big room = big screen.

    It also depends on how picky you are about colours - Plasma gives better black/dark colour definition than LCD.

    I've just baught a 37" LCD and its just right for a fairly big room. And the wii and playstation look amazing on it

    weve got a 40" LCD Toshiba and cant fault it. Previous to that we had 42" rear projection which meant to give the best picture of them all, but the LCD is definetly better - HD works really well with the PS3 we just bought today!!

    Also, consider renting. we pay £40 per month for a £1500 TV. We can change whenever we like so long as we stick with the hire company for 2 years after the last change. That means a top notch warranty. Bit like leasing instead of HP

    I've a 42" Panasonic Plasma & it knocks the spots off my mates 40" Sony LCD especially on non HD sources (ie everthing I've got)

    If you want a more natural looking TV then the Panny plasmas are hard to beat, if you are watcing standard tv most of the time(SKY Freeview etc) then it will knock spots off a LCD

    Only other thing to consider is life span - doesnt plamsa burn out after 5 years?
