    Default side light prob HELP!!!

ok here's the prob.main beam and dipped ok. side lights will not working at all with or without engine switched on. their is no dashboard ilumination ights when i switch the side lights on, also there is no bulb warning light on to sugest its just a bulb. could this be a fuse or is it more likely to be the switch.

any help at all would very much appreciated,

sounds like the switch if it's affecting the dash illumination as well.. lets just hope it's not the start of CIM failure as well as the dash illumination also runs through this module....

Try a replacement switch first.. that would be my vote..

thanks for the reply Gsi3.2, much appreciated. took your advice checked the switch like you said.
took the switch unit out stripped it down and gave the contacts a clean with some nail varnish remover hey presto jobs a good un.
when you say CIM failure am i correct in assuming that would be a lot of doller.

I rang the dealer up to quote me a price on a new switch £60. so that in itself was a bit of a kick in the do dah's. so well pleased thats all it was, a bit of a bad contact.
once again m8 thanks for the advice a push in the right direction is always appreciated.
