Default Got my 2nd paint quote.

Got my quote from RRG Accident repair centre. Swinton.
This is JUST to paint rear bumper and Irmscher skirt.
Note: They will not guarantee the paint on the skirt cos i'm supplying it.
It's brand new in the box. Muppets.
Am i not supplying the bumper that's on the car

    Labour 353.40
    Parts 34.23
    Paint 146.42

    Total 534.05
    Vat 93.56
    Grand total 627.51.

To Paint a rear bumper and skirt.

As you might agree i'm not useing these muppets.
I've sent my 2 bumper's and skirt to a coach builder and they are chargeing me 200 quid.

How chuffing much?!!!! Just for a rear bumper and skirt?!

And as for not guaranteeing the paint on the skirt because you've supplied it! Do they only do decent work on parts they supply themselves?

Let's hope the coach builder place does you a good job.

Unreal this guy that was doing the quote. Talking complete rubbish.
Thats why we never even got into painting the front bumper aswell, I knewi was wasteing my time with them.

Finger's crossed the coach builder does a great job. I've got a feeling it will be ok.

Glen, Have you tried a main dealers? I was quoted "about £90" all in on the phone when i asked my dealers to do the vxr bumper for me, which was also brand new in the boxes, i got them to do it for me and to my surprise the final bill was £97.62 with vat etc..
and that is apparently their standard price..

Edit. That also included putting the 2 peice bumper together..

OMG how expensive is that..... imo 200 is a fair price to do the work, taking into account the cost of materials involved in doing bodywork! i think to much cheaper and i would worry about the results!

The body shop i use charged me a whopping £60 to paint brand new SRI bumper and Vxr insert, and they did a brilliant job to, absolutely perfect match, so will be using them again to do my front and skirts.
felt really guilty handing over such little money for a top quality job.

have to admit when he quoted me over the phone i was a little bit dubious of what the end result would be, but he sounded genuine so i decided to risk it. Glad i did as a good bodyshop is hard to find especially one so cheap.
