    Default Vectra Finally Fixed

    Hi guy's,
Have just got back from Portsmouth where I have had the gearbox reconditioned. I am very happy with the Vectra now. It drives like a dream! Kept looking for Car/spanner light (I think it will take me a while to get out of that habit!) but it never came.
Would just like to give a little plug for the fella's that fixed it. It is the Express Gearbox Company in Portsmouth. It cost me £1800 (all but a few quid) and I get a 3 year guarantee with that. They said the box was knackered due to water in it. At last, I have got the proof I need to restart my battle with Vx to get some sort of compensation. Will keep you all posted on how I get on.
    Cheers.

Glad you got it sorted. Did they sort the rad too? the 04 ones are a better design and tend to not leak water into the gearbox.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

They have fitted an independant radiator to cool the gearbox so there is no danger of any water getting in again.
