    Default Network Q

Does a Network Q car have to have to have full Vaxhaull history?

The car I am about to pickup has the last service done by a back street garage on 19/1/08. The salesman said it will have a full service as part of the 114 checks. Also one of the other service hasn't been stamped, can they check on their computer?

If its been serviced by Vx then they can stamp the book and date when it was done.

Also, you can have the car serviced by a non Vx mechanic, provided Vx parts and the like are used. It wont affect the warranty in any way

No, it simply has to have been serviced according to the manufacturers specifications and schedule.

What I am worried about is the middle service has no stamp just written in. Coule be from Vauxhall, backstreet garage or made up. I assume they check the service history.

Just because there is no stamp, doesn't mean it wasn't done.

At the end of the day, Net Q have covered the car from the point when you have bought it, so they would've/should've asked for info from the selling dealership. As long as you continue to service the car according to the Vx specs and schedule then you'll be fine. As the warranty starts with you, as long as you continue to service it accordingly then you are meeting your obligations of the warranty cover. If Net Q are happy to cover the car in the first place, then it implies that they are happy to do so based on the details that the dealer should have given to them.

    OK thanks for the replies.

Sorry one last thing the gear change felt a bit notchy going into 2nd. I thought it was me as the salesman drove it fine. After doing some reaseach on here I have found out that there have been a few problems will this get picked up if it needs some adjustment?

If your not happy then keep on at them, but in my experiance most VX gearboxes are notchy in 2nd untill they have warmed up.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
