    Default Lowering my Veccy

    Hi all.

I've trawled through to try and get an answer to my questions, and although i can find bits, i can't get a definitive answer that makes sense to me.

I've just bought a new 2.2 16v direct Design. I want to lower the suspension as it sits so high. Also I want to change the wheels.

What I'm after is some advice on wheel and tyre size to go for. Also, roughly how much will it set me back to lower my suspension? What will I need to buy to do it? And is this something I can do myself (bare in mind I'm mechanically retarded)

Many thanks for any help and apologies if this info is out there somewhere

Been talked about quite alot of late and most people have gone down the eibach lowering springs route with blistiens B4 shocks,£300 for the lot and as long as you're confident to do it yourself is pretty straight forward, but a garage would charge you roughly 2-3hrs labour.......

Wheels, well depends on what size you're looking for, most have gone for 18",me included, looks great and does not compromise ride quality, tyre size for 18" could be 225/40 or 225/45 just depend on what look you're after, alot to think about, just have a look at the quick photo album and get some idea's,good luck ........

I just ordered a set of Eibach pro springs "30mm drop"for mine from Roadrunner. 144 quid delivered next day. I've got 19" snowflakes to put on. Wheels are what you want to pay really.

Brilliant! Thanks. Havent got the car yet, but will definately lower if when it arrives, if it ever arrives. Been 3 and a half weeks since I ordered it. Feels like 3 and a half months. I've been thumbing through the broucher again tonight for the millionth time. It's like being 5 at Xmas again. It's not like I haven't already got a veccy either. Don't know why I'm so excited. Grow up Matt!!
