nav update ??

Ok, i may be being dumb here but,

people are talking about this cd70 updating the sat nav, is this for the newer colour one?
I have an 03 with a mono colour screen sat nav, the cd player is a NCDC2013. this requires my cd which i have to be in the headunit if i want to use the sat nav, so its not stored on the sat nav itself!

i got a copy of cd70 2007 but its totally different to the cd i have now and when i put it in the sat nav, it just spits it back out!

Im no expert but I dont think the update is for your headunit. I did mine at a meet earlier in the year and was asked what headunit I had before it was done.
Someone will clarify this

My sat nav is a colour one, a mate at work had a 2003 model with a mono screen, my disc didn't work in his, I'm pretty certain they are different discs.
