Default Help buying a SRI 120 or 150 with or without SAT NAv

    HI

Hope this is not a dumb question but I am looking to buy a 2007 Vectra SRI Diesel,

At present I am planing on getting the 150 Diesel and was wondering if it is worth getting the SAT NAV version or would it be better to get an after market sat nav as the price difference seems to be around £400.

If I get the 150 diesel how easy is it tuned as I would like a bit more power selling my Meagane 225 as the petrol consumption is killing me.

Any advice would be great as I am looking at the vectra rather the the Modeo because of the looks.

Complete novice to the Vectra so please help

    Cheers

    Uncle

The 150 is very tunable and there are plenty of companies about to do it, BSR in particular have a good reputation.

Having (just) driven a remapped and standard 150, the remapped goes very well indeed, pulling all the way to the red line without running out of puff. The straight through exhausts were a bit cheeky too!

As for the Sat nav, that's personal choice really. I think the CD70 sounds a lot better than the CD30 and would go for it, it has its limitations but the pro's outweigh the cons.

In my eyes yes, because its built into the car, it more 'theft' proof than an aftermarket one. Although you might not leave it in the car, if someone knows you use one, they may break in. My opinion anyway.

As for the car, yes, the 150 1.9CDTi is the one to go for. It is very tuneable as many members have experimented on here!

Thanks for the advice does the Sat Nav SRI have a different CD unit as well, so for the £400 extra I will get more than just an inbuilt Sat Nav.

Another question, can I install Speed Camera positions onto the sat nav as I do with my Tom Tom or will that be lost.

    Thanks again
