I used a hairdrier and a body filler spreader which got rid of the bulk and then carried on with my finger nail while still heating the area up.
Finaly used some panel wipe to remove the excess glue and finished off with some Megs Scratch Ex and Megs Next Gen wax.
Did the same on thr rear chrome boot strip as well. Others will have there own ways but for me it worked a treat.

I think the two most popular methods are fishing line or point's cards with a bit of hot water for good measure !!!

    Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!

I didn't try the hotwater as the hairdrier took long enough so would of thought it would be gallons of hotwater and I never thought of points cards but as I had a few new plastic body filler spreaders I used them and the edges are quite fine to get in underneath.
My neighbour said try using dental floss as he had used that himself on a car which I suppose is the same as fishing line.

    Did it yesterday...

1 Kettle full of hot water and an old credit card/points card.

Pour slowly half the kettle over the badge and then using the credit card push it gently through the bonding gel which will give way easily.

After a few minutes of pushing the card through the bonding gel it should just peel off.

Use the rest of the water to help remove the remaining gel stuck to the boot rubbing your finger over it gently.

Job Done - (maybe a quick polish over the top to protect)

used dental floss.... but a strong thread will suffice. Use it like a cheese cutter wire.
