Peoples Club...... My @rse!!

Had to work the LFC v Reading match @ Anfield today, and being a 'Red Nose' I don't usually mind the football matches.

Today, however, I was disgusted at a fairly large minority of Liverpool Fans who took to demonstrating outside the main stand about 20 mins before kick off time. This protest was aimed at Gillette and Hicks btw....

Myself and about 20 otehr colleagues had to close off access to the area whilst they shouted what can only be classed as obscene chants directed at the club owners. Now, us having to prevent family orientated fans getting in really pi$$ed me off, and afterwards, the majority of the so called 'protestors' didn't go to watch the match in the gground.... the y went to the local boozer instead.

Some fans eh......

Another thing I forgot to mention.... The Reading Fans were great. No walking along shouting, screaming, winding th opposition fans up - just polite hello's to all and thank you's when they were given answers.

If there are any Reading Fans on here tonight.... You are a tribute to your club!

yuo will always get a few k**b heads lowering the tone and showing no respect for the genuine supporter and like you say they was`nt even attending the game, proberly got no interest in ilverpool club at all just stiring up trouble.

Can't be ar%sed with the footy thing TBH because of this sort of thing. Follow motorsport instead ! you are there with 10's of thousands of other fans all supporting different teams/drivers etc without a bad word. You can even buy beer at the circuit and have a nice drink while watching the race !!!

Imagine having bars within a footy ground, they'd all be killing each other !

i have to agree with lofty. everton are the peoples club not lfc !!! as an evertonian i am disgusted that you could refer to lfc as the peoples club, now dont get me wrong i am not being bitter here its just that liverpool supporters are the most arrogant,ignorant unpleasant supporters i have come across. i have been to most grounds in the prem and even the foreign teams from europe and none of them come anywhere near close to being as bad as lfc.
i am sorry if this offends any of you honest lfc fans out there but in my experience that is how i see it, i would hope it is only a minority of mindless idiots that go through the sort of behaviour my 5 year son had to witness at the derby last year but i am not so sure.
