    Default 2.0t Unlimited Boost

Strangly Enough Have Noticed The Boost Rising Over The Last Few Days, Fault Due To Actuator Which Is On Order From Forge.
But To Test My Theory I Disconected The Air Pipe Feeding It And Strangly Enough The Fuel Cut Doesn't Kick In And Goes Like **** Off A Shovel Which Is Strangly Worring?

The Dc Solenoid Valve Switches Fine So Cannot Think Why The Ecu Hasn't Detected The Overboost?
    Suggestions??

you got gauge on there? be interested to see some figures. One theory may be that as the solenoid is there as a backup, then thats what youre experiencing, ie extra boost but still being controlled?

Ive Got An Aftermarket Guage Fitted, At The Fuel Plenum 1.3bar
Turbo Bypass Valve 2.4bar As The Turbo Will Not Close With The Actuator Pipe Pulled Off, The Car Electronics Should Pick This Up Though And Isn't Ive Even Bootd It To Redline In Second Hoping Fuel Cut Will Kick In Nope, The Fuel Trys To Equalize To The Boost And Virtually Does. The Ditch Is Massivley Load And People Turn Around From Miles Away, But Obviousy It Shouldn't Be Like That.

very odd like you say the BCS should kick in and take over actuator duty, just a bit more harshly (on off rather than progressive). 1.3 bar in the plenum isnt too bad. You say that the BCS is working though. suggests that maybe the BCS isnt connected to the wastegate? I thought that they were, but didnt operate under overboost pressure.

I thought the overboost protection is the BCS. Is there not a risk of predetonation if theres a weak mixture? I would of thought that if the BCS fails then would think that the ECU would cut the ignition and refuse to start.

You would of thought but it doesn't I can electronically disconnect and it still doesn't fault or bring up ecu light?

    Really weird.

Thanks ion, yer I know soon as I finish paying for it im getting rid off it, next april just before the £300 quid tax.
Actuator should be here tommorow will play about with it then, one thing I did notice is that vx had screwed in the adaptor on the turbo which feeds the BCM to much maybe thats why it's not working correctly as to be fair since they fitted new turbo and banned me for their damn right **** work it's never been right. will look at tommorow.
