I use VPD all the time now, changed from BP Ultimate diesel about 6 months ago.

MPG is no different whatsoever, but the engine runs noticeably quieter, smoother and much sharper throttle response. And it keeps all the injectors clean and lubricated. Worth the extra £3 a tank IMO.

As an aside, I tried it with Millers Diesel Sport 4. No difference at all. But I keep a bottle of Millers in the boot just in case I ever get caught away from a filling station without VPD

Tried it with the 3.0, and found the only difference it made was in making my wallet lighter.

The cars are designed to run on bog standard fuel, so why bother with anything eles?

Well, the other option (as someone posted earlier today) is to let Vx offer you a £29.99 emissions service while they have your car which is probably going to do no more than the £10 bottle of Millers, and certainly won't improve the car's performance....

Anyway, mine's remapped.... No idea if that's significant or not but it drives like a tractor on ordinary diesel now...

I can honestly get an extra 50 mile out of a tank of VPower. I used to get ~470 miles out of tesco/asda diesel. Now I get ~520 miles out of a tank, driving no differently. So i recon its worth the extra cost. I havn't ran my new car (7500 miles now) on anything else after its first 1000 miles.

P.S. As Neutron said, VPD is refined from Gas.... So why is the price of crude oil affecting the price of it?

VPD is around 120p here, wheras 'normal' diesel is around 115p. So 5p per litre extra = £2.60 per tank extra. So given that i get 50 miles more, it is more cost effective me using the VPD.

If you have been running standard for a while and then get yourself a full tank of it you do notice a differece.

Currently getting better mpg and performance from the V Power.

But then all cars differ on what thy like and dislike.

Looking at this and working it out my self today its only about £2.50 a tank more.

How is a tub of redex cheaper unless you can get it for £2.00 a tub.
