    Default question regarding 1st oil-change....

I was told when buying my veccy 2.0T NOT to change the oil before its 30.000km checkup.. This sounds odd since the oil it came with is very thin and its ok to hammer it after 1000km.
    Any thoughts on this?

Change it as often as you like, the more often better really, fresh oil cannot do any harm
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

10,000 miles or (15,000 kilometres) maximum between oil changes is what most 2.0T owners would say on here.

I would never leave the oil in for 30,000km on a new car (especially a petrol turbo), I'd do an oil change no later than 15,000km if it was my car. The turbo needs clean oil to lubricate the bearings so the better condition it's in the better it is for the turbo.

Standard Vauxhall schedule I do. Anything more is unnecessary, imo.
Perhaps if you're tuned up with go faster maps etc. it's better to over service - who knows, but otherwise, I think Vx have already put a great deal of thought into what the service intervals need to be.
Just going by past experience of the cars I've owned, the standard oil change intervals have always been perfect for me.

i always get the oild and filter changed at 10k with fully synthetic oil, and normal servicing is carried out at the recommended intervals
