    Default stereo upgrade

hi i am looking for a bit of advise,at the moment i have a ncdc2013 unit its the 4 disc changer which jumps all the time so its got to go,would it be possible to change it for the cd70 navi.
if so is it just a straight forward swap the old one out and the new one in.

Do u already have built in satnav? If not you will need the aerial (means replacing the roof aerial) The Dab aerial is about £100 so I think the GPS version is a lot more.Plus the cable between the aerial and the Head Unit then it should be ok. You will need to Tech 2 the old head unit out and Tech 2 the new one back in. Make sure the one u are buying has been tech 2 out of the donor car otherwise it will be an expensive door stop.

No its not strait forward.. its different wireing harnes.. due to half can-bus (wich you have) and full can-bus the CD70 is using.

If it has the ncdc head unit then it will be half CANBUS ant therefor won't accept the CD70. I don't think you
will even be able to put one in with the correct wiring harness either .

Think the best bet would be to put in a non OEM head unit then such as a JVC,Kenwood or Pioneer. Maybe double din size with all the satnav/bluetooth/lcd screen etc. U would loose you onboard computer tho, correct me if I am wrong here.

They changed to full canbus late 2004 so it must just be that your mate's was built later than yours.
