    Default Manual Driving Lessons

I have been thinking very hard over the past few weeks about re-sitting my test in a manual, seeing as i am only licenced to drive automatics.........

Seeing as i won't be able to change the car for a good few years, is there any point in taking lessons in the near future?

Also, would it be pointless taking lessons in say, a Corsa? I have seen a Veccy around my area which is a learner car.......... I can't really bear driving a small car again

From a personal standpoint I'd get one ASAP. While you may not be changing cars for a few years you may be offered a certain job opportunity, or another situation could crop up where you'd require a manual licence and would be kicking yourself if you didn't have one.

You can obviously drive so shouldn't take many lessons so wouldn't be too expensive, and if you don't use it straight away, it's just handy to have.

Manual test covers you for an automatic.

Nah, if you can drive a manual you can drive an automatic without any further testing. Only reason to take a manual test if you've only got an Auto licence is because using a shifter and a clutch makes it so different from just, essentially, putting your foot down and looking.

Edit: What everyone else said, haha.

Top tip though.....if you have to hire a car to go on company business. Ask for an automatic, in my experience these are usually the higher class vehicles, mercs and such. And everytime I have got it for the normal cost of a cat c/d.

I'm more worried about failing the test due to the amount of bad habits i've picked up rather than the clutch control.......... I get paid in 2 weeks so i think i'll book a lesson for then
