    Default 3.2 Head Gasket Gone/Going ??????

    Hi Folks,

I've just topped up the oil on my GSI 3.2 and noticed a lot of emulsified oil in the filler cap??? I have always had a little but now there is noticeably more. I haven't noticed any loss of power or miss-firing.

The coolant level is fine and the dip-stick shows normal black oil.

Does anyone know if a level of emulsification is normal on the GSI 3.2 or if I should be worried that the head gasket has gone or is going ?

    Any suggestions etc greatly accepted.

It's condensation on your filler cap pipe. If you take it off that will stop the sludge-it's caused by the cold air passing over that stupid long extension!

    Enter GSI 3.2 please........................

Try thrashing the motor once in a while. Everything needs to get really hot, just as it was designed to do. Bomb proof motors, won't do any harm

Just what he said the main problem is the filler pipe gets cold air blown on it when you drive along so the vapour turns to sludge i had this on my 3.2 took the pipe off and all sorted now !!!!!!
