tell us a litte more about the problems you are having...

If the MAF is totally shot then she'll drop into limp mode.. will normally happen when you try to boot it too hard..

im having most of the problems when it gets up to running temp or hotter especially when ive sat in traffic for a few mins,it struggles on power when pulling off it smokes and it judders whilst driving along and pulling off.i spoke to someone at vauxhall about it and they said they are prone to the maf sensor, egr valve and inlet manifold failingand the only thing they could really do is replace all of them till they find the problem starting with the cheapest first and then going through them until the problem is solved.

Pity no-one is near you.. the MAF is a doddle to change and could easily be swap tested by a willing victim to test it

Mine had excessive smoke before i had the inlet manifold changed due to the swirl valve rod BUT they also cleaned up the EGR valve too so either one of them could have caused the smoke..

MAF i would try to swap with someone to test drive.
EGR is next which requires a bit of fiddling around..
Inlet Manifold is an absolute SOAB ..

not 100% sure on the 120bhp but on the 150bhp its 2 bolts and a couple of waterfeed pipes i believe at the rear right hand side of the engine. Inlet manifold u need to sit down for.

all in all £744 inc a diagnostic test (which included 5hrs Vx labour)

Mines having a new MAF fitted Monday, has the exact same problem as Plasma describes.

About the fifth part fitted to try and cure the problem.

Changing the inlet manifold requires removal of the common rail and associated pipes, which means draining then re-priming afterwards. Big job.
