for my CDTi120 they've said around £80 for the valve, £50 for the labour so £130 + vat

stealers tried cleaning it for me as no valves available, actually made it worse!! car totally off the road now.

Good news, stealers have had a EGR valve in today for me, RAC have dragged the car there today and hope to be fitted Monday.
Been waiting 3 weeks in total, could be worse!!

Phone the stealers today, nothing in yet but they offered me a Astra Courtesy Car, no charges

my advice, sell your car before its out of warranty. New EGR valve fitted today, improved (ie the car will now move, slowly as spanner light still on) but stealers reckon the DPF is shot now, and they couldnt get it to regen to clean it (neither could I even after 80 miles at 55mph)
cost of a new DPF - £900 + labour + vat

I've got a little bit a result. Mine has been cleaned and the car drives as it did before. I'm still down for a replacement though. My mate has had the same done, but has been told that it wont be replaced. Now to me, that means that the EGR should form part of the service schedule as these things will need cleaning every 20k. I wonder who would pay for that?
