Got reply today, Slovenia and German batches are fine to use in UK climate. PHEW!!!!
I've got chinese version on my GSi and they are crap, the car follows every little rut in the road and wanders all over. They have done 6000 miles and i'm getting shot of them they just don't feel safe.
Before I knew about this, we bought Eagle F1s for the wifes Clio(Oct2012). They were scrubbed in less than 2000miles so we reported it to Blackcircles and they have picked them up and are checking them out. Still no reply from them and we did have to buy and fit another set. Hopefully they are found to be counterfeit because £210 for <2k miles on tyres alone is shocking. We got another set fitted through a different supplier and 3k miles on and they still have loads of tread.
The link talks about an.x70 rear diff , , ,

Four new tyres fitted today.
All four say 'made in Germany'.
There was a problem in the recent past with some Goodyear NCT 5's made in Slovenia.
