Default help limp mode on vectra 1.9cdti

hello can anyone help outthere please.... my car is currently sitting in a vauxhall specialist garage as vauxhall themselves cant take my car for a week and a half.this garage seems to know what they r doin however. about a week ago my car seemed to loose a lot of power and wouldnt rev above 2500 revs.it was in two garages and they told me that i needed a garage with a tech 2 computer.when i finnaly limped it down to another garage they plugged it into their computer and it diagnosed a possible 2 faults. 1st fault was an air intake which has led down to the egr valve needing replaced, since there was 450 on backorder from vauxhall i am still waiting on this being replaced.the 2nd fault that has flagged up on the computer is the ecu possibly faulty, but the computer has said to change the faults in order, to see if this rectifies the problem.i am still carless.has this happenned to anyone else or can anyone shed any light to what has happenned.my vectra is 3 and a half years old it has done 39,000 miles 1.9cdti 150bhp.if it is the ecu should be faulty should i be looking for vauxhall to assist in paying something to the repairs.many many many thanks.

I'd have let the vx garage do it and expect them to pay some of the EGR too!
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Sorry this was posted by a m8 ofmine without a computer, but yes he is back up and running. The garage got him an EGR and worked perfect also they did a service and cleaned out engine for a great price. Big thanks to the guys at CLAN GARAGE in Edinburgh. Will be getting all work needed on my car done by them, a fraction of price quoted by VX and by a VX specialist.
    OUTSTANDING!!!

What year/mileage/history does your car have? If FSH and below 60K have a few words with Vx cust services, especially if car is less than 4yo. Let them know you are aware these are common faults. Even if they only chip in 20% its gotta be worth a call.
