I just use a flat screwdriver . I dont think number plate bulbs shows. mine dont
there is a clip if you look at the number plate bulb from the ground. push it in and the pull down and out... can be fiddly but it will go. then the bulb just twists out.
what kind of bulb is it?
5w thingie.. same as your sidelights
cheers mate
Will a car fail its MOT if one of the number plate bulbs have blown?
yes... all lights that are fitted to the vehicle should be in working order.. for a few pence for a bulb, it aint worth letting it fail if you are aware of it not working, especially for the hassle of having to get a retest!
OK i wasnt sure, I thought it would probably be a fail.
Ive got my test tomorrow afternoon and the bulb seems to have gone sometime between last night and this afternoon.
better get down halfords before the test tomorrow then... Cheers fellas
Oh, does that also include the tailgate bulbs (ive got an estate). The outer rear lights / brake lights are working OK, but the tailgate ones both aint working (they keep going after about a week , its getting to be a real pain)
