Does the interior fit?

Can anyone please tell me if the early interiors fit in the facelift signums and vice verser - door cards seats etc also does the later steering wheel with the volume on knob rather than button fit in the early model

I'm not sure about the interiors, although I can't think why not. The steering wheel is a definite no-no. It will physically fit onto the column, but you'd also need the airbag from the newer wheel as it's a slightly different size/shape - but the main reason it won't work is that the connectors for the wheel controls are in a completely different place, so the wheel controls won't work on a car that had the six buttons.

thankyou i looked at seats in both and they look identical! I have half leather design seats and was thinking of full black leather from a face lift model

yes if i get leather then the 04 plate half leathers will be for sale very good condition (32000 non smoking clean clothed miles) but it depends on the leather

So to clear it all up

You can change the interior from a hatchback preface lift into a facelift and vice versa (the only difference being is the long strip that goes on the dash which is a different shape, the little strip on the drivers side fits). Been there done it

Saloon must be changed with a Saloon as the rear seat uprights are different (but you can put a hatch version in if you put a bit of effort in as long as you are not using the back seats in another car) Same rules apply as above when its a prefacelift or not. Been there done it.

Estate must be changed with another estate as rear door cards are different although the same rules apply as above when its a prefacelift or not.

Signum only with another Signum as the rear seating plan is different and the rear door cards. Same rules for Facelift and pre as above.

You can change front seats between any model and front door panels. Been there done it. (assuming all the front doors are the same size lol)
