If your going to use a glaze then it's.

    Wash
    Dry
    Polish
Paint Cleaner (Personal choice to do this)
    Glaze
    Seal
    Wax

The glaze adds a really wet look to the car. Optional really.

Paint Cleaner removes all traces of the polish. Again optional

If you haven't done so in the last 12 months I'd clay the car after the wash and dry.

    I use following the wash.

Sonus green clay with last touch as a lube.
    Megs #80 Poilsh
    Lime prime cleaner
    Megs #7 glaze
    Megs #21 Sealent
    Colly 915 wax.

Maybe twice a year for the full hit.

Then it's just wash, dry and a quick wax everty other time.

For an Express version after wash.

    Polish
    Seal
    Wax.

Always thought you use the paint cleaner before the polish.

    you cant remove polish

polish is abrasive and fine cuts the paint back to flat again.

Polishing is the process that removes swirls, light scratched etc. Once done the paint should be cleaned to remove any residue polish although it's not strictly neccesary.

The Glaze, Sealent and Wax is what you don't want to remove not the polish.

edit: lol jon beat me to it.
