    Question De Chroming

Has anyone tried to de chrome the chrome strips that run along the bottom of the windows on the exterior? Does anyone have any pics of what it looks like?

    Cheers, Bullylad.

Think some fo the base models (possibly earlier models) have a black plastic trim instead of the chrome.
Think somebody on here offered their chrome ones in exchange for the black plastic cos they prefered them!

Hey just noticed from Bolton as well, have you got your name down on the NW owners list?

Let me know if you work it out as I will have the chrome ones off you, mine are black and I prefer the chrome ones!

I believe the door strips can be removed but the rear quarter ones are moulded on, so can only be removed by removing the window

My SRI came from the factory with black window trims, I like it.
Despite the cost of living it still seems popular!

They're not bonded in,just six 10mm nuts, the cost for the black trims from VX is nearly 300 quid,it's best to swap or find a set on ebay.
