    Default CDR2005 with kenwood DNX7200

    Hi

I was looking at getting something similiar to http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/kenw...th-p-5739.html - probably that one, but I may change my mind.

Would this fit, replacing the current CDR2005 ?
I am assuming I would only need adapter as stated http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/vaux...or-p-5838.html - I do have an Aug 02 Vectra so I think thats the correct one.

I'm assuming buttons on the wheel would no longer work, as well as the screen with temperature & time, is there anything I have missed with this or does that cover it?

    Thanks.

Possibly the wiring harness adapter from the orginal plug to the back of the new unit. I am sure u will need one.

you may also need one of these if your car has a seperate aerial (mine did and I had a CDR2005)

    http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/aeri...64f217bce156be

Halfords do them for about £3

You will also need a wiring harness.

Also i think you can get an adaptor for kenwwods to make the steering control work.

Have a look on here for what you need (4 digit radio)

    Thumbs up

    Thanks for those.

I think I will just get the separate aerial regardless, not going to break the bank if it isn't necessary.

if you cange then you also have to swich red and yellow wire as they are swiched.

then no wiring harness needed (only for steering control)

Hey Kenp, is that true for all aftermarket stuff, as ive never got my DVD player to work and havent got round to sending it back yet.

If its something silly like the wiring then that saves alot of hassle
(I bought it from Hong Kong although it was advertised as in the UK )

    PS sorry for the hijack

ONLY if you have ISO plugs on the radio (ect. CDR2005 and other radios with ISO).

On VX/Opel they swiched the "constant on" and "power on" cabels. so quite posible thats your problem. if it works with ignition, and after ignition off, it loses all setings that is probaly the problem.
