Default smoking 3.2 on start up

    Hi,

I noticed a lot of white smoke coming form the exhausts when starting up. Any ideas what this may be?

White smoke is steam, or water in the exhaust.
To a certain degree is perfectly normal, particularly when the engine is cold and particularly at this time of year when outside temperatures are lower.
If you do a lot of short journeys it can make it worse as the exhaust will never get hot enough to evaporate all the water out of the exhaust.
If your coolant level is normal and you’re not losing any, ie; never have to top it up, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Unless it smell of fuel (ie unburnt diesel emissions) is it prob steam, a product of combustion.

If it is fuel, it will stink and if it only lasts a short time, is probably early signs of a glow plug on it's way out.
