    Default lighter thing doesnt work

    any easy thing that could have gone wrong? tried both my pogoalert and the satnav and none are being charged, is that a dealer job ot is there a possibility of something easy like a fuse? thanks!!

    Get a small file or knife and gently scratch the contact at the bottom of the socket in the centre (make sure ignition is off or you'll need to do a new fuse too!). Mine didn't work until I tried this as the surface had corroded, now works perfectly. Hope that helps.

    My satnav charger only works in a specific orientation and position when in the 12v socket. One in the rear is much better fit and works in all positions. I put it down to a crap sat-nav charger - only got two contacts on it.

    tried the knife technique and still doesnt work, so tried the rear socket and that one doesnt work either.......whhhhhhyyyyy?

    Always a good place to start, if its ok find someone with a multimeter or voltage indicator to check the sockets out and the supply to the fuse.
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!
