    Default Wheel refurbishment

As I have just been having a spending spree on ebay I found myself buying a pair of SRI alloys, one has some slight kerbing damage. My plan is to have the pair I have just bought refurbished, change the tyres and put them on and then have the pair I have just taken off refurbished and repeat the process, I will then end up with a full sized spare.

Just wondering if anyone knows a good wheel refurbisher in the Yorkshire area.

Not sure about a wheel refurb place BUT with the added option of having an extra set have you thought about doing something different with them??

If you are willing to travel a bit then Romax in stokton-on-tees have an awesome reputation and for a £40 refurb you will be very happy.

I hear that on some occasions they can even do it within a couple of hours for you.

If you decide to go that route PM me I have their details, getting one done myself next month.

Been having a look and I did consider having a bit of a change to the colours, black spokes maybe? Then again when they are clean and shiny it breaks up the blackness. I like black but it needs something to set it off.

Been having a think about it and I have sort of decided that on a black car maybe a shade of Anthracite might look good as a contract to the black, has anyone done this and if so have you got any pics to help me make up my mind please?

    Steel,
My Mrs is for ever hitting the kurbs in her Astra SRi CDti 150 and I have become quite good friends with the local Chips Away franchaise. They are very resonable and do a cracking job. I think the last time they came out to do two wheels it worked out £40.00 inc vat per wheel - bonus is they come to you and do it on the driveway!!!

    Cheers matey!

Been to see a wheel refurbisher in Barnsley this morning and looked at and anthracite wheel but I didn't think it gave a good enough contrast against the black, looked very Subaru Impreza!

The guy there suggested silver over black where the back of the wheel is black with the front silver, reckons it will look good on a black car. He is going to spray one out for me to look at before I make my mind up, what a nice chap

    rolleyes

    Steel,

I have 5 spoke alloys on my astra Sportive van - with silver over black - it does look very good when they are clean, a slight bit of dirt on the silver though and it looks like you was the car as normale and leave the inside of the wheel as it is black and looks dirty.... So depending on how often you clean you car you could be disapointed?

    This is clean:

    This is dirty:

Hope this helps with the desicion??
