Swirl Valve Q??

Car having its first MOT very soon .... warranty time up!

So just looking over for obvious bits to point out, Heard a few issues with Swirl Valves so as reccom on the site had a look at the actuator, least there and moves but there is some play in it ... is this the norm .... I guess there will be some, but how much?

Have it done now, then anything thats gonna fail will be down to VX.

Is it being a little loose not a good sign?

If you run the engine on a worn inlet manifold you will see the other cylinders' swirl valves actually lift and start rotating on their own!.. Oh thats if the rods isnt on it. But not sure if this qualifies as it being on its way out though.

Swirl valves! That's what that bar on the manifold does isn't it, the one that keeps falling off? Someone at the south wales rolling road day had a detached one and I told him it shouldn't be detached but I couldn't remember what it did.
