    Default "Australian" Vectra

Greetings all - I own a 2003 Vectra ZC hatch (Opel origin) - the model in Australia is designated CDXi which means it is a 3.2litre, top of the range with climate control, leather etc. Is that the GSI in UK? I bought it as a demo in early 2004 and it now has 62,000km on the clock. I've just chnaged all four tyres; it came with Goodyear NCT5 Eagle 215 50R17 91W, which i found noisy. I've replaced them with KUMHO KU31 (215 50R17 95W) which after a week of use I can say I'm pleased with. Looking through some threads just now, I noticed your UK prices for tyres seem to be more than we pay - replacement Goodyears were A$235 (about Stg110) each plus A$7.50 balancing per wheel plus A$45 alignment. The KUMHO's were A$169 each (Stg80).

Only (so far unsolvable) problem I've had with the car is an occasional "clunking" from the front end, which I've been unable to repeat at the dealer when the car was still under warranty. Any thoughts you Vectra fans?

Clunking noise could be radiator mounts, drop links or anti-roll bar bushes or even the suspension spring mod, talk to your dealer he should know about them, good luck........

Welcome! My MY2003 CDXi makes the occasional clunk, but I've never bothered to find out what it is.
