Default best speakers to upgrade to

hi as the title suggests what are the best speakers to upgrade to within a reasonable price? i have looked at the pioneer custom fit but from what ive heard they are a bit over priced for the quality. do vauxhall do an upgrade speaker?

I've always had a soft spot for infinity speakers. Also you can never go far wrong with alpine.

why do they need to be custom?

In my opinion if you want to achieve a good sound go to www.talkaudio.co.uk and look at the speaker reviews from Adam Rayner, some are £2000+ some are £150.

You should also be budgeting for a proper installation as well, mounting them properly on thick mdf baffles and sound deadening the doors (including sealing as many holes as possible to create a proper enclosure) will make a world of difference.

Are you planning on amping the speakers? If not then you might want to think about it, aftermarket speakers are made to be amped where as OEM speakers are designed to be ran off the few watts produced by the head unit.
